About Our School

Diamond Jubilee Public School (DJPS) is a Kindergarten to Grade 8 English Public school in the Model City of the North, Kapuskasing.

 

We offer two second language choices, Cree or French, and provide daily physical education classes for all students.

 

We take pride in providing students with enriching extracurricular opportunities, including school sports teams (soccer, volleyball, basketball, and badminton) and student-led clubs (Pokémon Club, Arts Club, Music and Dance Club.)

 

Our character education program centers on the 7 Grandfather Teachings of Humility, Bravery, Honesty, Wisdom, Truth, Respect, and Love.  In learning about these teachings, we strive to create a school culture where students feel safe and like they belong.

 

DJPS also offers three High Support Programs for students with developmental disabilities: the EDGE Program. The EDGE program provides students with a customized alternative learning program suited to their unique needs.

 

DJPS is located within the same building as our secondary partner, Kapuskasing District High School, which allows us to provide our students and families with a cohesive K-12 pathway.
